Dear Log Cabin friends:

It’s the winter month of LOVE – February!! This is the month to think hearts, the color red, & Valentines. Plan to do a heart project, make your own Valentines & spend time with someone you love - Simple country pleasures. The Heart that loves is always young. – Green proverb

I love receiving the seed catalogs this time of year – when “cabin fever” has set in. It’s a joy to look at the beautiful pictures of veggies and flowers & decide what I should plant this year. Yesterday the order went in for wonderful heirloom seeds & they’ll arrive in the mail before Mother Nature warms the ground. Hope, faith & miracles - knowing from a little seed grows a plant to feed me.

It seems winter has been quite long already & more than a little busy. I’m hoping for a couple weeks of “down time” yet this month - that is the plan & I’ve been gearing up for it. I’ve ordered new woolens, over-dyed a lot of wool, patterns are in, my taxes are done, & a couple little projects worked on. Now we wait for the woolens to arrive, the rug hookers will pick them up, and I’ll start planning ahead to March. Because of very cold temps, & new snow we had to cancel a couple of groups gathering which I truly dislike doing. So hubby said, to blame him (but we won’t) – his bobcat was broken down & he was waiting for a part - the wind had piled up a few drifts that no one would want to drive or walk through. Winter weather in the country is a whole different “ball game”. It’s was just better to know everyone was safe at home on those dark, cold snowy nights.

I received many emails concerning my closing the shop. (Thank you.) The shop will be OPEN to the public for a few months yet until everything is sold. And I’m adding more bargains, even freebies. So it’s always worth checking out beginning with our March open dates.

NOTICE: I DECIDED TO OPEN THIS SATURDAY, 8-2 ONLY! (FEBR. 7TH) Many need to pick up special ordered patterns, frame covers, etc. etc. I’m not sure the woolens will be in yet though. Let’s hope weather cooperates this Sat. to be open here at The Log Cabin.

I’ll keep this newsletter short and next months will be longer, with a few “interesting” pictures too – (you’ll just have to wait to se). And now - Blessings of peace, love & abundance, Twila, Cabin-Keeper
