Dear Log Cabin friends:
The month of ushering in fall has arrived September. I look forward to it every year when my thoughts turn to picking fresh apples, arranging pumpkins in a display, finding the hedge apples (those green orbs), watching the Virginia creeper & bittersweet turn their vivid color, and making a pot of soup. The wild plum jelly is made for the winter months to enjoy its vivid red beckoning me to open a jar & taste - but Ill wait the anticipation will be worth it!
Yes, the crisp temperatures are always looked forward too but this year has been a cooler year. It is also a very busy month here at The Log Cabin. I will open for a sale (read below & see pictures) & then Ill be open a day the end of September as our fall books should be in for those that reserved them.
This is a shorter than usual newsletter but Im helping daughter out in her new home, working on our Ks. cabin/house plans, mom came to visit a few days, canning food, drying apples, getting ready to plant garlic & planning ahead for the groups that will be meeting again shortly. All are very enjoyable things to do.
